Gently — Privacy policy

This page is the Gently app privacy notice. It is in addition to our website privacy policy and to information shown on Google Play.

Premium app

Gently is a premium app and requires a paid licence after the free trial. That is our business model. We do not collect or sell your personal data for unrelated commercial purposes. We aim to operate Gently in line with GDPR (European privacy law) where applicable.

Licence and support

The Google account you use to sign in (for example yourname@gmail.com) is stored on our servers for authentication, for both trial and paid use. That way you can use a Gently licence on multiple devices and move to a new device when you change phones. We also use your account for support and to respond when you contact us about the app or your privacy. If you use Gently with sign-in, you consent to this processing under GDPR where applicable (Articles 6 and 7). To request removal of your Google account from our servers, use the Contact form on this website or the delete-account option in the app where available.

Development

Gently uses Google Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics. Those SDKs may process information such as device brand, model, and system settings. We use this to monitor performance, fix crashes, and improve the app.
