Hush — Privacy policy

This page is the Hush app privacy notice. It supplements our website privacy policy and the Google Play listing.

Premium app

Hush is a premium app and requires a paid licence after the free trial. That is our business model. We do not collect or sell your personal data for unrelated commercial purposes. We aim to operate Hush in line with GDPR (European privacy law).

Personal data

Notifications, contacts, and phone logs used by Hush are handled on your device as described in the app. That information is not uploaded to Appfinity for those features.

Your SIM card-related information (for example phone number, network operator) may be used on-device to apply call and SMS rules and to detect phone state (such as ringing, idle, or in call). If you export your rules, that export is stored only where you choose (for example your cloud provider such as Google Drive).

If you configure a Wi‑Fi rule, Hush may monitor your Wi‑Fi connection in the background. Wi‑Fi identifiers can imply location; background location may be required to apply that rule on your device. That data is used only to enforce your rule on the phone — not uploaded to our servers for tracking.

Licence and support

Your Google account (for example your Gmail address) may be stored on our servers for authentication — both during trial and with a premium licence — so you can use your Hush licence across devices and move it when you replace a device.

We also use your account for support and to respond when you contact us about the app or your privacy. If you use Hush with sign-in, you consent to this processing under GDPR where applicable (Articles 6 and 7). To request removal of your Google account from our servers, use the Contact form on this website.

Development (analytics and stability)

Hush uses Google Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics SDKs. They may process information such as device brand, model, and system-related settings. We use this to monitor performance, fix crashes, and improve the app.
