Personal data
Notifications, contacts or phone logs are only saved locally on your device. This data is never transmitted over the network. Your SIM card information (e.g. phone number, network operator) is used for blocking phone calls and SMS messages and to detect phone status (e.g. ringing, idle, in call etc.) . If you choose to export your rules this information can be stored at your cloud provider, like Google Drive.

If you setup a Wi-Fi rule Hush will continuously monitor your Wi-Fi connection in the background. Since Wi-Fi networks can contain location data, the background location permission is then required. The location data is only used to apply your Wi-Fi rule on your phone and never transmitted over the network. When you select the 'Automatic SMS' option the app automatically sends a SMS message for every blocked call.
