RecapAI — Privacy policy

This page is the RecapAI app privacy notice. It supplements our website privacy policy and information on Google Play.

Premium app

RecapAI is a premium consumer app and requires paid minutes to generate transcriptions and summaries. That is our business model. We do not collect or sell your personal data for unrelated commercial purposes. We aim to operate RecapAI in line with GDPR (European privacy law).

Data and privacy

Recordings you create in the app are stored locally on your device by default. That on-device content is not uploaded to Appfinity for general storage of your full library of recordings.

When you transcribe audio, the audio needed for that job may be uploaded to our servers only to produce the transcription and summary. Processing is limited to that purpose — not for unrelated model training. When processing is complete, the audio file, transcription, and summary are removed from our systems as part of our processing workflow (subject to short-lived technical retention described in the app or listing where applicable).

Account and support

The Google or Apple account you use to sign in may be stored on our servers for authentication so you can use your RecapAI minutes across devices and move to a new device. We also use your account for support and to respond when you contact us about the app or your privacy.

If you use RecapAI with sign-in, you consent to this processing under GDPR where applicable (Articles 6 and 7). To delete your account from our servers, use the Contact page or the delete account option in the app when available.

Development (analytics and stability)

RecapAI uses Google Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics SDKs. They may process information such as device brand, model, and system-related settings. We use this to monitor performance, fix crashes, and improve the app.
